O'Sensei Don Warrener
Sensei
Don Warrener has been a practitioner of goju karate since the age
of seventeen. Sensei Warrener has competed world-wide, and has been
taught by many prominent karate masters, including Benny Allen,
Bob Dalgleish, Frank Lee, Dom Lopez, Goshi (Gogen's son) Yamaguchi,
Morio Higaonna, and the famous philosopher and martial artist (his
Sensei) Sensei Richard Kim (pictured here to the left of O'Sensei
Warrener).
In 1973 and 1981 Sensei Warrener attained a world record for breaking
bricks and boards. In 1968 he won the Canadian Karate Championships,
and in 1973 he claimed both kata and kumite titles at the Eastern
Canadian Championships.
Sensei Warrener is the founder of Don Warrener's Martial Arts Academy
(est. 1968). These dojos can be found across southern Ontario.
O'Sensei relocated to sunny California in 1998 and has become involved
in myriad projects. Keep an eye out for announcements
of locally held seminars lead by O'Sensei Warrener.
